Default Taking Liberties with Nature

Abstract Art:

"Artwork which takes liberties, altering for instance color and form in ways that are conspicuous, can be said to be partially abstract. Total abstraction bears no trace of any reference to anything recognizable." (Wikipedia)

Ohhhhh how I love these !! It's so fun to play like this. Your Feather tree is a riot. Have you heard that finding a white feather to some is a "hello" from a friend/relative from the other side ?? We believe that here and always love to find them!

Lindy, I'm glad you're digging back to your art roots, because these are so much fun. The first one is so colorful, but I think the folds of the rose is my favorite. Don't ask me why...I don't know anything about art, I just know what I like!

Great light and lines in that top one, Lindy. All 3 are very pleasing. And great title for your thread, too.

If you keep this up, we just might need a separate "abstract" forum here on DPS!

Any chance we'll see some more partial or total abstraction from you in the near future?

Beautiful shots lindy, I don't normally enjoy a lot of this type of shot but these show lots of beauty. I have seen a few of the Pinni Arboreals in the past, but never thought to photograph them. Of course mine would have to be really, really abstract as the feathers are stuck to the tree by a substance that is not a good subject. I think I'll leave these shots for you, I struggle enough on the ones I do shoot.
