In keeping with the recent run of waterfall shots, here are a few I took this weekend, in South and North Carolina.
This is in NC, and was taken from behind the waterfall, in a shallow cave. Not a dramatic amount of water, but a pretty cool setting: ![]() This one is called King Creek Falls, and is one of the prettiest I've seen in the area. (Trying to learn B&W conversion.): ![]() This is called Spoon Auger Falls. I wish I had either an ultra wide lens or more time to find a better spot: ![]() Last is a close up of a portion of Spoon Auger Falls: ![]() The water going over both King Creek and Spoon Auger Falls goes into the Chattooga River, a picture of which is at this thread. Thanks for looking. |

While they are all nice, I really enjoyed the B&W. Very well done Chip!

![]() Thank you, Hayward. My sense if I could've stayed at the first waterfall longer, I would've enjoyed it even more. But, time was too short, unfortunately. |

Great shots on them all, the black and white does stand out. The area looks familiar, but I can't place where this is. Yea, I wish I could plug in a jump drive into my ear or elsewhere and find some items. Where are the falls located?

That must have been so cool to stand in the cave, behind the water fall and take your first shot. I'll bet the sound was wonderful, too. I'm with the consensus and I, too, like the BW. I like it partly because it has a nostalgic appeal. It looks like a film photo you might find from trip taken long ago and discovered in an old album. Are you having fun?
