I just got back from a month-long trip to Southern China and Singapore and thought I'd share some of the pictures I took with you guys. It was a great trip and a much-needed vacation after a year of school. All these pictures are from Beijing only, but there are plenty more pictures in my Flickr photostream.
![]() A gold lion handle of one of the many copper pots scattered throughout the Forbidden City. These huge copper pots were filled with water and would have been used to put out fires, since fire extinguishers didn't exist back then. ![]() A beautiful pillar inside the Forbidden City. ![]() The Bird's Nest olympic stadium in Beijing. The architecture is really quite something! we also saw the Water Cube, but it was nowhere near as impressive in my opinion. ![]() Row upon row of red lanterns on one of the streets in Beijing. Thanks for looking!
