Default Why can't i live in Canada?!?!

HA HA Ok i'm just complaining about the heat. I haven't gone out much to shoot anything because it's so HOT here! I did go for a walk the other day and managed to get some pics... also managed to get sunburnt lol YES YES i know! "where was your sunblock?" I forget sometimes that i'm as fair skinned as you can get without being an albino ha ha Anywho, here's a few, enjoy

I like the viewpoint on this one

Photobucket

I love maples, absolutely my favorite tree!

Photobucket

so i was squatting down to try and get butterfly pics with my ipod in my ears blasting away and this little guy came out of a drain to say hi. he had cobwebs and a leaf hanging from his whiskers, so cute

Photobucket

it was so hot though he only stayed long enough for me to pet him and get his shedding fur stuck to my sweaty hand before he decided to head back in his hole to cool off

Naughty naughty, you should use your sunblock. lol.. What a lovely set of captures Kimi. Love the perspective in the first one and the lovely greenery. I have a Japanese Maple in my back garden and it so gorgeous and has pride of place. While mine is green, yours is a lovely colour of red. And that is one little pussy cat who knows how to keep cool. lol..Very nice work, Now go and have a cool drink and on with the sunblock. lol

Dave.

1st: Nice pics... especially like the last one. It just screams that typical cat attitude: "I'll play with you but only if you can crawl in this pipe with me."

2nd: Speaking as a Canadian, careful what you wish for. Our summers may be cooler than yours but I'm going to guess our winters are a little on the cooler side, too. Depending on exactly what part of the country you're talking about. I'd suggest the lower west coast somewhere. Having said that, I suppose once you become accustomed to the climate it's not too bad. And that is speaking as someone who's been known to be out in the middle of January at 2AM bent over a telescope in -15C (5F) weather.

Thanks for sharing the pics of your crispy (re: sunburnt) adventure.

Nicely done Kimi, 2 and 4 are particulary good. You have excellent focus, detail and colours on the leaves of that gorgeous maple, and the final picture, don't you guys throw the strangest things in the trash cans.
Poor cat, but good pictures

beach

ps fingers now crossed for the beach trip

Ha ha yes he did want me to crawl in there after him. Oh if i only just had to wish lol! I am actually considering moving to Canada. I know the winters there are far more cold and severe but i'd welcome a drastic change. looking for something different i guess you could say didn't get too burnt just a few new freckles

Nice pictures, specially the cat!! We get hot and sticky weather in SW Ontario Toaday was cool at 74, but will often be 80 odd. Winters here close to Lake Ontario are not too bad at all.
I have lived here for 40+ years .

I just had to take my beer out of the igloo as the roof just started to drip .. Panic set in that if it collapses I'll need the sled dogs to dig it out .. I'll try and post tomorrow as my allocation is reserved for tonight .. LOL ..
