Default Last Performance of the Beach Birds

This will conclude the photo session from last week. I thought I had some sea gulls, but they are a different type of Tern so this is the end. I still haven't perfected the capture of white birds, but these are the best at this point in time.

Good Afternoon, I am a Great Egret, pleased to meet you.

Curious

I am very glad to see that you stopped by for a visit this afternoon.

What do you think you are doing, making all those clicking noises? Maybe I was too nice when we first met, you are disturbing me now.

Oh, it's a dang photographer, you guys never give me any peace. Can you leave a guy alone to look for his lunch?

Here's To Looking At You

Hope you enjoyed your visit with Great Egret.

If only he knew he was being immoralized on DPS he might have cut you and your camera a little more slack. You tell the story well and your photos are just great. You not only have wonderful crisp detail but also humorous expressions, especially the last one. He looks like he just turned on his warning signal. At least he didn't try to knock your block off like the pelican.

Great Captures Fred! Glad you finally got close enough to get the shots! How far away was this one?
These are well done, very Crisp and Clear. The last one is really fun and it does look like he's saying "Thats close enough!"
Thanks for Sharing these

Lindy I tried my best to explain to him that I was going to make him famous. I just couldn't get my point across to him. I tried Spanish, English, and a little French but he just looked at me like I was strange or something. Guess I need to learn the language of the birds.

Michael, YES! I finally got close enough after two months of trying. I am not sure of the distance these photos were taken at, but I got to within ten feet of him. At ten feet he decide I was close enough and flew away. These are decent I still have to figure out how not to blow the highlights on the white birds. Getting closer, but still not satisfied yet.

I agree with everyone else...that last photo is hilarious. Great job with both the focus and the cropping.

Fred, Very well done on all of these and the last one is hilarious! I'm think he's not too interested in being famous because he already hates paparazzi!
