I got my zoom lens and it's been fun to play with. I'm new at using D-slr cameras so most of the time I'm experimenting

I like how this turned out. I used Picasa 3 to make the image brighter.

Great shot, and experiment all you want as that is what everyone does. The key is to remember what you did when you have those great shots.

Very Nicely done! Experimentation is part of the fun, like Fred said, it's remembering what you did right or wrong that takes time to learn.
