I really did think I had posted my final Saguaro photo. Last night my husband went on an evening hike into the Rincon Mountains. He found these on the trail and brought them to me. It was no surprise to find a Saguaro "pear" that had been picked clean, he was, however, quite surprised and pleased to find one with seeds and fruit intact. Hard to imagine that from such a tiny seed, the mighty Saguaro grows.
![]() I have a growing interest in abstract photography. I minored in Art History when I was in college. It seems pretty silly now but I loved art and wanted to know more. Truthfully, I didn't care very much for abstract art at that point in my life. Of late, however, I have a growing appreciation for abstraction, especially of the digital kind. When you remove or obscure a representational object and set aside an emotion, you are left with the basic elements of art: shape, color, texture, composition. They can be quite beautiful on their own terms. Here's my first. Only the color has been tampered with. Consider it a creative use of a photo gone wrong.

Very Nice Lindyanna; You can tell by looking at some of my Digital art that I also enjoy dabbling in Abstract Digital Art. I love taking Captures and modifying them, I even keep what I call a folder of fodder. Things that I intend to use to create my art.
I know it's not for everyone; but being different is what makes us interesting!!!!! Thanks for sharing these Michael.

Lindy, many things in nature go unseen and I would have never seen one of natures unseen babies had it not been for your lovely post. I learn so much from your work and it is always a pleasure. Although I did well at school I never did like it too much. But your school of the desert has brougt back the pleasure from leaning. I like your school lol
![]() The colours in the abstract are gorgeous. Thank you for being a nice teacher. Dave.

Amazing to learn that such a huge plant can grow from a seed so tiny! I never cease to marvel at nature and I appreciate your bringing part of it to me. About that abstract...I keep being drawn to the brown dot!
