Default Niike Sue Nikon's Adventures at Ft. Yargo

As many of you know, Nikki Sue Nikon and I often go for lunch at Ft. Yargo State Park near where I work. We always have a good time...it sure beats eating lunch in the break room at work! Here are some shots from some of our latest adventures.

We came across a lady and her dog training her dog for trials. They go all across the country for events. This one is called dock diving. The dog sits until she calls and then she throws the lure out for the dog to catch. When I was in high school we all had a saying..."let it all hang out!" I think you'll agree that's what this dog was doing!

Then we came along an unusual dragonfly. Nikki Sue liked the way the dragonfly's coloring was subdued and match the color of the water.

Nikki Sue didn't say too much about this one, she just blushed....

We thought is was too late in the season for new little ones, but we came upon these fuzzy darlings!

Nikki Sue had lots of fun at lunch. she hopes you enjoy her adventures.

Thanks Michael! That dog was something else. She kept on going and going. Ahh, the dragonflies. I love seeing them and you have no idea of how many I've deleted just to get down to a couple of good ones.

Thanks, Vin! I thought for sure it was too late in the year and I'd lost my chance to get some cute little ones, so I was pretty excited to see these!

Thumbs up Nikki Sue has quite the eye!

Excellent captures, Mike! I often take my camera out over my lunch hour as well, but have not yet thought of a groovy nickname for it (him? her??) like you, my friend!

The dog shot is great. Perfect timing. I love that his mouth is wide open just before s/he clamps down to catch it. The sparkle in the dragonfly's wing is a nice touch. The third one is...well...all I'll say is 'good timing!' And the fourth one is just precious...five little ducks went out one day...over the hill and far away...

Nice work!

I got waylaid by clouds. Your dragonfly has clouds in her wings. Let me say that again: your dragonfly has CLOUDS in her wings. Feels like there should be a housetop to shout this good news to all people everywhere!
