Default Collared Lizard
I found a pretty adult Great Basin Collared lizard this evening, and thought I would share...


Crotaphytus bicinctores

I've never gotten close enough to one before tonight to get a decent photo. After this shot, this little male ran directly into my hand. All I had to do was close my fingers and I managed to catch him. Of course...he bit my thumb and wouldn;t let go, but...that's to be expected...

Anyhow...thanks for checking it out! Any comments are greatly appreciated!

From nose to vent, he was probably about 3 or 4 inches long. His tail was easily that plus a couple inches. They are a fairly decent sized lizard.
