Default Frogs and a Freak

I love frogs, and we've been seeing a lot of them around here lately. These are Hydra tree frogs. The camo colored one is a Hydra Versicolor I believe.

This guy was on my picture window, fairly high up, hence the odd angle. Against the glass like that he almost looks fake.



This little guy was most odd ;-) very intersting fellow. He hangs out in the back of my koi pond.



This is my favorite little dude, I see him a lot on my boganvilla's. I think he's just gorgeous.





And then the Freak ;-) I saw this thing moving across the patio, it almost looked like a shell of some kind, like a hermit crab. On closer inspection, it turns out its a little worm. They build these lttle 'houses' out of twigs and leaves...whatever they find. It's interesting how their materials for their 'house' changes from region to region,

Very cool pictures. I think my favorites are The Freak and the Odd Dude.

Stella, very interesting frogs you have in your yard and that last critter is something els. that's some kind of camouflage! Thanks for sharing.
