I think the trick is to always try to picture things like you would through a camera lens. Whenever you see something that looks cool (i.e. a nice reflection) imagine how you could frame it and capture the beauty that you are seeing with your eyes.

Also ... take a TON of pictures! 1 of them is bound to turn out great ;-)

Default Reflections - Kalk Bay Harbour

A friend and I had gone out to take some photos in a local harbour. We were trying to catch the reflection of the light on the boats when I got this shot. It was interesting afterwards to see the light reflected from the water onto the boat being reflected back onto the water - see the snake formation just below the tyre.
