Default Bee inspired by Simona

After seeing Simona's latest bee-picture (# 107 in he flickr, which is really beautiful BTW) I was inspired to take some of my own.
This morning, in my way back home after walking the dog, I saw a spot sworming with bees. I left the dog, picked up the camera and zoomed to the bees. I slowly took position trying not to disturb the bees (which I hoped I'm not allergic to) and aviding the hostile plants.
Can you see the thorns? I can still feel them!
It so happend that a couple of bees turn to my general direction, I stumbled and fell. Lets say that even sitting in the car, later on, was not a pleasent experience.
Anyway, as I was in the ground, this little guy slowly flew by me.
It is not a high quality picture, but I wanted to share it with you.

Ohh...ouch... the things we do for a good photograph. I hope you have healed up and are out there tomorrow having another go. This time without falling into the thorns.

Thanks for your concern Michelle.
I'll take your comment as a sign that one of them is a good photo.

Bees, here I come for more!

It can't be easy catching a bee in mid-flight while lying on the ground. Great capture! I hope no cameras were harmed during the recording of this event!

A-O and Mike,
The weekend is upon me (we start on Friday and go back to work on Sunday).
If it is not too hot I'll go out and photo-chase some more bees.
