In October every year, 80,000 mature jacaranda trees come into bloom and a festival is held. It is absolutely beautiful there during this time..and these pictures show a very small portion of it...

Jacaranda trees are glorious, we can grow them out here but not very successfully but down in Brisbane they are just stunning. They are planted around the Universities and every year when they start flowering you know it is exam time.
