Candid Beach Portraits

We went beach camping last weekend in honour of the Summer Solstice, (can you think of a better place to be on the longest day?) and I was snapping my friends when they were unawares...

Not sure whether they would stand up to much critique, but I felt they showed some improvement, so I thought I would share.

can't think of a better way to spend the longest day at .. I am a big fan of candid photography .. I think it depicts the true inner self of the subject .. you did an excellent job here

If my friends are aware of me taking pictures they always go into cheese mode, and I just get huge grins, or bunny ears...

So candid is the way forward with them!

I love candid shots and yours are great Pixie. As well as candid you got two lovely skys in them too and i just love the last one. Sums up a great day and a well earned rest . Very nice work.

Candid portraits are the best way to capture someone's character and emotion. I really like your first one - I like portraits that get really close to the subject. Thanks for sharing these. (& I envy you living in Cornwall!)
