Default gumballs and critters

Hers is a eclectic set of shots......

This is a pic of the "fruit" of a sweet gum tree? In the South, they are called gumballs. They don't feel too good if you step on them barefoot. on the left is this years model and the one on the right is last years model, both still attached to the tree until I pulled them off!

Looks very tropical with the light green coat and the rainbow stripes

Umm, this guy attached it self to my pant leg when I was shooting ladybugs and I found it when I got back inside my car to get back to work.....I had to shoot it before I disposed of it

DSC_7545

This ladybug had my full attention while that creepy spider was busy trying to hitch a ride

I envy your lady bug photo. I was trying very hard last week to capture one but it was just too small and my camera refuse to shoot at very close distance. Congrats.

Don't feel bad...one of these days, I'll be back to my kit lenses and won't be able to turn shots like this anymore either. I am borrowed time with a friend's lens

Maybe you should start a Lens for Patrick fund! I don't know what you'll do with yourself once you have to give it back. anyway, beautiful shots, and you'd better make hay while the sun shines!

We are treated to a stunning selection of creature closeups. The quality of your work does not fade and you even seem to inch the bar higher each time you post these wonderful sets.
I like each of the pictures for a variety of reasons but pin me down and I'll go for the colourful grasshopper creature, but 2,3 +4 are great, good job Patrick

All great shots. However if I had found the spider on my pants leg, I would have been out of the car before you could scream "Arachnophobia"

Hello, that second one is so cool. I love the colors as well. I have never seen anything like it. What is it called, if you know?
The spider gives me the creeps, I am a bit of an arachnaphobiac. Very clear shot of him.
The ladybug is cool. She is a cool mix of orange and red, very pretty.
Your right those gum balls hurt under bare feet. OUCH!
