Default Lighten up Nikki Sue!

Okay, so lately Nikki Sue has been on warped and creepy adventures. Smothering Kudzu with fearsome poetry by James Dickey. Then shades of Alfred Hitchcock and "The Birds" with buzzards lurking in the swamp. I told Nikki Sue she needed to lighten up and she said, "Let's go shoot some flowers. They always brighten up everybody's day!" "Good idea", I said, and off we went to find some lighter fare...

First of all, A Queen Anne's Lace seed nest.

Then we found a weed growing nearby:

A trip to the backyard where we found some Rudbekia:

And finally, a Day Lily:

Nikki Sue hopes she's brightened your day!

Great Shots Mike! I really like that last shot with that color popping off that dark background......Now I wonder what that weed would look like if shot from the underside....it looks as though the flower is somewhat doublesided.

I'm glad you and Nikki-sue went out to shot flowers today they are beautiful. Good to see you realise noxious weeds and buzzards are fine every once in a while but a girl loves flowers. Love the Queen Anne's Lace.

Tell Nicki Sue, Chewys Dad says Thanks for the beautiful flower shots, The last one is very nice, very sharp. I seem to have trouble over exposing orange and red flowers; Got to work on that.

Mike, those are beautiful flowers. I like the last two also. Flowers look good with dark backgrounds. I am impressed you know the names of several flowers haha.

Yes, she brightened my day for sure. These are beautiful. I have never seen #1 or #2 and they are very interesting. I really like them. I also love #3 and #4. Great lighting, focus and composition in all four.
