Faeries are most likely found in forests, meadowlands, near streams and brooks, caves, jungles, and parks. Signs that a faerie may be near include the following: feeling as if someone is watching you when you see no one there, feeling as if an insect is touching you when it appears that there isn't one there, a wonderful fragrance, hushed giggling, distant glowing objects.
Faerie rings usually consist of mushrooms or rocks in a circle. Faerie rings are places where faeries rejoice and dance in circles when no one else is around. While on an assignment photographing volunteers erecting a new fence in a local dog park, the sun streaking through the trees bathed these in swathe of light. I could not resist a photograph or two ... something different, enjoy and dream of faeries. ![]()

I was wondering just the other day where you were....I've been missing your posts. I love the textures you've captured on these mushrooms...or are those faerie handholds?

"I do believe in fairies, I do, I do" from Peter Pan. I love that part of the movie as do my two girls. I can picture them there. Great work.

Genie, you write so well. Your images, mental and visual, are so vivid, I'm surprised you can't spot a delightful little winged creature peering behind these mushrooms. However, I do feel as though I am being watched and there is a slight chill in my spine. I do hear a gentle noise but that is just my cat snoring. Lovely.

Is that Tinkerbelle I see peeking out?
These are lovely, Barb - and I love the story to go along with them!
