Default Flowers by the sea

We made our trek to Monterey yesterday and it turned out to be a wonderful day. I have so many shots of so many things to go thru, so I decided to start with the flowers, they were so vivid and so pretty. I don't even know what they are called. These first ones are like the thinnest tissue paper, and of course the wind was blowing like crazy, but I was able to capture these.
2 white flowers

Here is another shot of these, they were so delicate and pretty.

I have no idea of what these are called, but the colors are just stunning . I hope I did it justice here.
purple flower

And lastly these were in a vase at our table, I believe they are tiger lillies but feel free to correct me.
tiger lilies

Thank you for looking at these, hope you enjoyed them.

I could be wrong, but those first two look a lot like poppies...although I've never seen them white around here.

Thank you, I actually used the 28-135, I've found that pretty handy lately.

Hi Angella, thank you, they are so delicate, the petals just fold up in the wind. I'm
glad I got anything at all that wasn't blurry.

Very nice shots ma'am. Monterey brings back lots of memories...My uncle is chief of surgery there at Monterey Community Hospital. I honeymooned there at Pebble Beach exactly 22 years ago and enjoyed a sumptuous Pina Colada at the Hog's Breath Inn in Carmel. I would love to go back armed with a camera!

I am so sad I did not get to go with you guys, but we will have our day (soon I hope)!
These are fantastic flower shots. I love the delicate look of the first two and the Lilly's but I am really drawn to the third one. Maybe because purple is my fav color but you did a spot on job with the focus and clarity to capture such vivid detail in all four of them. Really beautiful job Mom!
