Default My first senior photo shoot

I was asked to take this young girls senior photos and as this was my first time id appreciate your comments. The thing i didnt like was the blown out sky or water in some due to the very bright sun still beating down strong at 5.30pm

These shots look pretty good to me. I'm sure they will be happy with them. I think you have answered your own questions about them. The faults you have seen in them you have picked and I am sure you will learn from that.

I'm no good at portraits Lori but, I'd say you did a fantastic job under the circumstances. I think my fav is the first one.

Lori, you did a great job under difficult conditions. I think you should be so proud of your work. You have a lovely subject to work with. I just love the second and third ones but all of them are brilliant. I hope she liked them too. I am sure this wont be the last job. Well done my great friend.

I like these I am no pro but they are well thought out pics ! She should be over the moon with them as for the light I think it adds to the photo's some that knock out the natural light I feel look too posed these do not they look nice and natural

Thank you FoG for your comments....we waited till 5.30pm thinking the sun would be easing down but no way...it was about 90F and we almost died by the time we did a lap of the pond...i was trying to find shady places but it didnt want to co-operate with me, But i think they usually only get one pose so im sure she will get enough for what she wants.

Thank you Fred...by the time we didn 3 outfit changes and walked around the lake it was exhausting..the heat was a killer yesterday and the humidity terrible,,,no excuse really... a good photographer should be able to handle that so i guess ive learnt a bit more from this shoot.. maybe i need a light diffuser or something...any suggestions??
