Default light sticks at night reveals fractal imagery....cool

These images are of toys basically.....neon activated light tubes about 2 ft long and the diameter of a pencil. Kids would wildly spin, wave, flick them under the dark night sky. We went to an outdoor kids movie after dark at a local park and my wife asked why I was taking the camera since it would be dark but I knew that these light tubes would be out in full force. So I decided to shoot something other than flowers and bugs and at sometime other than at lunch. This is a very abstract set.....not like me at all.....if you were looking for a cute ladybug....umm sorry, they will make a return soon I am sure. The first and second shots you can see a kid whipping his light stick about and giving a cool image. The last two were taken when it was darker, hence you can't see anyone. I believe the shutter speed was set at 2 seconds or somewhere around that.

These are very impressive shots pj. Does you good to shoot outside the box sometimes and these photos are good. It certainly has my artist mind thinking.

Wow. I think those are amazing. Only two seconds on the shutter speed? Cool. The bokeh in the second and third pic is cool too!

Abstract is certainly the right way to describe it

The kids are whipping these things as fast as they will go and 2 secs was all that was needed. If they were slowly waving these thing about, then some experimentation would be in order
