Default Bad weather ...

Spoiled playing with my camera and a week of hard work so I have mooched through my pics ... although no before I think they show the improvement this place has made in my shots ...

First would you believe I never knew about the "macro" setting on my camera before coming here ... then anything small quaked as I roamed ...

I cannot remember what I did to this but as Exif is missing I did something ... *confused* but it almost identical to the camera shot

Next I learnt about fill flash .... and combined it with the macro button ..

Cherry blossom I think (no green fingers here)....

Next was shutter speed and light ... (was hard to deciede between this and the canal HDr one....

And lastly you guys all shooting bugs I soooo wanted to get one too ... the one I have been after refuses point blank to co-operate so I nabbed this guy whilst walking ...

I would post a before one but will leave you with these for now and a HUGE thank you to all who post here for the inspiration you give by the posts you make .

And they are all great shots. I am glad you have learned so much here, but you also seem to have a good eye. The composition is good in all of them. I am really drawn to the first one. Love the colors and reflections on the ball. Thanks for sharing.

A wonderful selection of pictures FoG, is the first one a lucky orb, hope so because I think it may be working.
The second is outstanding and my favourite, perfect lighting and great contrast between the blooms and the sky.
Love the candle, simple and effective, and finally an industrious bee.
Told you it was a lucky orb, nice job buddy

Yes FoG, this place teaches us a lot and you are showing us the proof. This is a great set of images. The first two are so creative and so well presented as well as being great captures. The candle light is excellent and a super shot of the bee. Great work and you have been a very good student my friend. Go to the top of the class.

Jake.

The Orb is part of a small wind chime at my mom's but I think yes it has been lucky as it was these that made me try a bit harder with my pics ! thank you Beach the second was placed on Foxsaver for a bit but the neighbours did look at me funny wandering around the tree looking for the right angle LOL.

DPS and Flickr are great teachers and it is so fun to see where we came from compared to where we are in transition--these are beautiful! I really like the wings on the bee--so translucent.

FoG these are outstanding photos. I love the first two the most. The 2nd seems to pop out so much. Great work with the contrast and sharpness. I haven't ventured so much with macro but I am also planning to learn more about it and these photos are inspiring.

You are doing great!! I like all of these shots. I can tell that you put your photographer's thinking cap on and went to work with that first shot. It is the one I like best. probably for that reason along with the fact that it is a neat image. Candle light is something that I have not had a lot of success with...I need to go back and try some more. I am going to out and get something like that first shot of yours here soon and I'll post it in your honor.....now I'll need a still windless day.....
