I have learned a valuable lesson. I recently bought a new camera bag and as I was going through the pockets I discovered a "lost" memory card. These are some of the first pictures I took when I got my new D80. So lesson learned is "Check those pockets you never know what might be there".
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() One of the things we are going to miss when we leave here is these dunes. The path to the beach is filled with all sorts of things for my son to discover and of course TONS of places for his daddy to shoot pictures. Doug Last edited by zephod; 06-20-2009 at 10:11 PM. |

Lovely shots !! Can I ask how you rate the D80 ? I am thinking of D80 or D90 in my short list (about ten in it so far trying to narrow it)

I think overall one of the primary things I've learned here on DPS is the fact that the camera is a tool and although I'm still relatively inexperienced that tool is only as good as the user. That said, for the several hundred dollar difference between the two tools I found the D80 to be the most accurate for me. Doug |

I love that first shot !! Something about his expression that just captivates me !!
If you have the choice in the future ... go for the D700 .. you will never look back

I'll have to really read up I guess. I'd hate to spend 3 or 4 thousand dollars and then realize I bought the wrong thing. Back to NikonUSA and Youtube for me. I guess it's no big surprise I bought the su-800 and 2 sb-600's off ebay only to find that it was not nearly as reliable as I'd hoped and now I'm trying to find somewhere other than ebay to pick up the ctr-301p setup. Oh and thanks. My son is definitely a ham when it comes to having his picture taken. Doug |
