Default Back in the day & a bit of nature

I am hit and miss around here these days. My daughter is having a difficult pregnancy and I am keeping my little grandson.

This is not too impressive now; but this WELCOME sign located in a small Texas town is rumored to have been the inspiration for the famous HOLLYWOOD sign.

Welcome mt

This is one of the hotels that catured to the rich and famous; back in "the day"
down town

Looking at the photos taken here, I am learning to "look closer" and I found this shy little guy

Lizzard

I don't know how so many of you get the birds to pose so nicely for your shots...all I captured was this guys back.

Great series of shots. Interesting on the Welcome sigh. I think Fred's advice is the best. I took so many gull shots the other day and all I got were bird bum's. The one I got a face shot of was on the ground trying to steal some of my fruit.

I've been feeding them dried bread; guess I'll add bird seed to my grocery list! The lizard is the best in my mind. I just thought the others were interesting info.

Nice work Sheriliz. Thank you for the history of the "Holywood" sign. Now I know its origin haha. I like the lizard shot too. It blends well in the environment. Thanks for sharing!
