Bedtime for Taj: I signed Taj up for Saguaro Propaganda School this visit. He's old enough now to begin inheriting my pop up book collection. In other words he can read them and not destroy them. He took this new one to bed with him and as I crept of the room I heard him saying: "And this is the Gila Woodpecker...." Sweet!
![]() Bath time: Soleil had just gotten out of the Bath. She was smelling sweetly of soap and her hair was still wet. In this photo, Taj has just innocently asked: "Soleil, where is Nana?" She startled us both by shrieking at the top of her lungs: "Nana!" I startled her by shouting at the top of my lungs: "Get the camera!" Throughout the visit, any time you asked this question, this was the response. Aw. ![]() All tired out from the visit to the Winery. The curl is what caught my eye. ![]() I began this series by mentioning that the Jacaranda trees are in full bloom in Santa Barbara. Taj calls them Jacarumba trees. The city is filled with them. In a light breeze, the fallen blooms swirl along the bricked streets sometimes joining forces with the Bougainvillea blooms. It's as pretty a sight as the canopy of blooms above. The red tile roof is the signature feature of Santa Barbara.

Lindy, your grandchildren are just precious! How wonderful it is that you are able to spend quality time and share with them the many things that are so close to your heart. Soon Taj will be teaching others about the Saguaro. By the way, the b/w photo you posted of him yesterday was absolutely stunning! I never made it back to comment on the thread, but could not comment here without mentioning it.
The image of your granddaughter, Soleil (beautiful name) screaming for you is totally fabulous! I can practically hear her! Her expression priceless and your processing gives it a bit of a Norman Rockwell feel. I love it! And the second image of her sleeping is so sweet...though, I think she might've had a tad too much wine.

Beautiful Shots of your Grand children lindyanna. I love the Screaming Soleil; They are Blessed to have you to teach them to appreciate nature. I hope they also inherit your inquisitive and outgoing nature as well.
Thank you for the jacarumba tree collage. as well, Beautiful. Here in South Korea the Cherry Blossoms (beotkkot namu) fall in April and May and at times look like pink snow that collects in drifts along side the roads. Thanks for sharing these Michael
