Default Candid moment at family shoot

I recently shot a family session on the beach ad managed to grab this frame when no one was aware I was shooting. I had an idea it was going to be OK, but when I downloaded it it became an instant fave of mine.

Just thought I'd share 'cos I like it!

Portrait of a girl

Exposure: 0.004 sec (1/250)
Aperture: f/4.5
Focal Length: 35 mm
ISO Speed: 200

Shooting into the sun *can* work sometimes....

This is a beutiful shot, I think the overexposed backgroud adds more dreamyness to the shot. This wouldnt be out of place in a magazine.

ive always found the best shots captured are candids, as thats when people are most relaxed.

Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to reply - appreciate it all!

The blown out background is actually deliberate - the idea came during a wedding shoot where I messed up a beach shot by not checking my settings. I was shooting into the sun and while the subject in that case was all out of focus and the shot didn't work, I *loved* the washed out tones it created... made a mental note to try it again, but on purpose the next time!

This is the result. Methinks I may be using this technique again!
