Do you know what they are?! Also where do you live where you have stuff like that around you?! How did you find them & the snake Love the shots & critters thanks for sharing! Do you have a full sized one of where the snake was "hiding"? like its suroundings & not just the snake it self? What size would you say it was as well?.. Man most people would flip out if they came accross something like that heh!

The first is a hummingbird....yes they do sleep.
The second is a female cardinal...
The third is a passion flower...it was a vine wrapped around and through a tree...big blooms
and the fourth is a western diamondback rattlesnake...behind glass, but not that hard to find around here.
All were captured at the Sonoran Desert Museum in Tucson, Arizona

Thanks for your input

The picture of the hummer asleep is something else! Glad to know what #3 is. We have lots growing in the developed, but unbuilt, part of our subdivision which was in a recent post I did. I have since gone back and found they are producing fruits about the size of a tennis ball. I'm glad that snake was behind glass. From the picture, it looked like you were about to step on it.

Great Shots Leona; Love the Passion flower and Man that Rattler is intimidating. Good thing it was behind glass! I used to have an old film picture of a hummer on it's nest. Wish I could find it and scan it. I used to live in Apache Junction AZ and we had Cardinals come every year to feed in our yard and raise babies.
Thanks for sharing these
Michael
