Hmm. I just realized that famers are artists, too. Their canvas is their barn. The paintings are simple; maybe just a red roof, or in this case, orange. Isn't it interesting, though, that he intentionally added a little flare and decorated the roof of his silo as well. Is that what caught your eye? Gosh, these photos just make me smile!

WOw that is a huge barn. I have never been to something like that before. We have tons of farms here in the Philippines but those only have small nipa huts and houses, not that big hehe. Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful capture, colorful roofs, close cropped grass, plowed fields in the background and just enough farm machinery sitting around to show this is still a working farm.

You wont find these in the UK either, mind you, you could probably fit most the UK inside that barn.
Great pictures Ian, your farmers are definately artists and the weathger holds no fears as I noticed they even painted a colourful umbrella atop the silo next to the barn. Good find buddy

Thx Lindy .. There are a number of silo's done up around here, I think it was the selling point back then .. I've found out the barn painters left their mark and I assume this is another trade mark .. I'll check into it for sure .. I was driving home and the clouds broke a bit as I came up on this barn, the sun on it against the grey made me do a u turn ..

I've heard stories that they used 50+ foot ladders and moved them by hopping from the top ..
