Default Couple of Stormy Landscapes

I went for a walk in the desert just outside of town the other day, and saw some incredible storm clouds rolling in over the mountains...which is par for the course over the last few weeks.

Anyhow...I thought I would share some of my day's adventure with you fine folks...

Pair of desert birds...not sure what they are, but they were everywhere...

Northern Sagebrush Lizard...WELL aware of my presence from about 150 feet away...

Clearing skies to the North

Believe it or not, there are actually 12-14,000' peaks in the distance, shrouded in clouds. It was snowing on the mountains, and started raining in the desert shortly after this shot was taken. The mountains are the eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada mountains...home to Mt. Whitney, just an hours drive to the south.

Anyhow...hope y'all enjoy the photos! Thanks for looking!

I always see beautiful sunny landscapes. I never realized they could be majestic during stormy days. Nice shots.

The depth of colors and clarity in your last 2 shots are top notch. Very pleasing shots.

And for your lizard, you took this from 150' away?? Was it a monster crop, a monster lizard, a remarkably long lens, or some combination of all 3? Well done, regardless.
