Default Extreme Macro???

Here's a pill bug that I shot the other day in my front flower bed. He's only partially closed and I think trying to play dead so I'll go away. I can only imagine what he thought with my lens about an inch away... This is not cropped and with the exception of some minor sharpening and dust removal, it's right of the camera. Actual size is that of a pea. I was inspired by a shot of a wasp earlier that wound up stinging the shooter. This was much safer. Enjoy

Cheers,

Steve

Thanks Patrick... I got the shot of him "running" away as well. Pretty funny.

Cheers

What a nice macro. I looks a bit out of focus perhaps due to the proximity of the subject to the lens but this is a shot one should keep.

Thanks for the kind words, Rick. I'm just getting into macro and I'm doing it unconventionally. My DOF is extremely shallow and that make focus hit and miss. Not to mention, handheld while lying on my belly doesn't help. LOL

Thanks again

Cheers

Menacing looking bug, but sans stinger! Good choice and well done, especially hand held and lying on belly!
