Default Another Night, Another Storm...

I have to thank my wife for this series. She was on her way out the door with our son and spotted this beautiful scene. She called me and advised I get my camera. I always do as she asks...

First Blush Of After Glow

This image was captured about 10 minutes after sunset. This super cell was Southeast of my location. Just right to catch that beautiful hue from the sun. Like the blush of a new bride.

This was just about five minutes later. In just that amount of time, nature has redecorated and given us a fresh look.

Pink Cotton Candy.

Now I'm sure this guy is probably glad he is well west of this storm. Even then, you can "run into" some nasty wind sheer as these storms die and collapse. Fortunately for this pilot, our storm is still building.

Hurry Home 2

One last look at our pilot. The colors have darkened which give this storm a very menacing look. Not that the storm was gentle before. It just looked pretty and Innocent.

Hurry Home!

Until next time, I wish you beauty and happy landings!

Many sunsets have a wonderful afterglow, yours have wonderous and unearthly afterglow and is really best viewed in larger size via flickr.
I like all four pictures but am drawn to the final one because of the vulnerabilty of the flyer, and magnificant yet malevolent clouds, good job Tom

In all my years, I don't believe that I have ever seen a supercell painted like that. What beautiful shots

Thanks P. Things have to align just right. Most people, myself included, watch the sunset only. Just remember to take a peek over your shoulder from time to time.

Thanks for the kind words.
