Hi all,

One of the trees in my neighbor's front yard has been blooming for a couple of weeks now. The flowers are very soft colored and delicate. Every time I walk by I try to get a couple of shots. It was all very disappointing and frustrating until yesterday. I came to the realization that to get a reasonable shot at these peculiar flowers I should isolate them, stop them from their never-ending dance, and treat them with the right soft light. Thus, I built a rudimentary light-box and took some shots. It felt like working in a mini-studio under a quiet atmosphere (music, tea, closed doors, no phones) and controlled conditions.
For a first try, I'm quite satisfied with the results.
I'd be glad to get critiques and inputs from the more experienced photographers out there (about 99% of the potential viewers). Thanks!

This is a gorgeous photograph Flavio and very nicely composed. The colours are stunning and the black background works so well. Very nice work.

Jake.

Thanks!
Is always nice to get nice comments on a first try.
Now, I think the next step will be to find a proper subject for a white background.
Any suggestions on lights, EXIF, etc?

Well done! The black background really makes them stand out and the pictures are crystal clear.

Charming pictures, they remind of the lamps with the long thin LED light tubes that change colour. Great job flavio
