Default First Time Poster

Hey - this is my first post here at DPS. I've been checkin out the site for that last few weeks.

Last weekend, I got my first 'real' camera after trying my hand at an advanced point & shoot for about a year - and really getting into photography in the process.

My new camera is a Canon Rebel EOS Xsi with a standard 18-55mm lens and these photos were taken my first day with it in gorgeous Wimberley, TX . I've done some limited post production with them - some lighting alterations, color enhancing, and sharpening. Please let me know what you think....

Welcome to DPS!

I'm so JEALOUS! I've been shooting with a Sony Cybershot, point and shoot, for 6 months now and I'm aching for a Nikon D60.

I agree with inquiries, I like the second one the best. But I also like the last one too.

Good job! Look forward to see more from you and this new camera.

Welcome to DPS. You've made a good first impression too. My fav is the last one. Something about the weather vane sihouette that I really like.

I had been shooting a Sony Cybershot DSC H10 for the last year. It's a pretty impressive camera for its size and price. The only thing I felt limited on was shutter speed - especially trying to shoot dark concerts.
