Default Crowning glory

From Cubbon Park

Taken at a local park. That mynah bird looked quite fierce sitting on the crown and the contrast with the lightly smiling visage of the erstwhile King of Mysore was simply too much to pass up. I also blurred the background just a little to make the subject stand out and boosted the contrast for the statue, as well as sharpening it a bit.

The bird is standing as sovereign as the statute. Nice capture.

Thanks, FoG. Yeah, that bird was the central point of the capture. The statue by itself wouldn't probably be as interesting.

Thanks, liverlipsyyz. As I mentioned, I did blur the background a bit, but as you say the bokeh was pretty good to start with.

Interesting shot. The birds always win out, don't they!
