Default More flowers & a door to nowhere

While driving home I came across these sunflowers growing wild in front of a
country home, they were all following the sun which I must admit fascinates me.

and lastly the door that goes nowhere, my grandson noticed this instantly.
That is a door up above, partially open, now I wouldn't want to step out that
door from the inside, could be a bit painful.

Thank you for looking, hope you enjoyed these.

Beautiful sunflowers! I love that DOF in the first one. These look like some huge gorgeous flowers. They say summer in California for sure!
That building is so bazaar. Looks like someone might have lived in it at one time. So strange. Very interesting find indeed.

Watch that first step! Interesting building, and I see it has a TV antenna on top. Love the sunflowers!

My grandson was fascinated with the door. The sunflowers were fun, the first two are actually the same flowers, just two different angles. Thank you Fred.

It was a very interesting building. Each time you looked around you'd see something else
strange about it. Thank you .

Nice sunflowers. I can help you out on the building. This is a water tower. I can't believe that a city slicker like me needs to tell anyone this, but here I am tellin' ya.

There are lots of them in various shapes and states of disrepair on farms around here. The top floor had a tank full of water that I think (uh, oh, now i am not sure) was pumped up there from a well below. The water being up there provided the pressure to force it through the pipes into the house. Most of these that still stand are abandoned or have been converted into rooms for living. Some friends converted there's to a bedroom for their son.
