Default Night time shots in my town

This is a block of Victorian style shops set in the heart of downtown

DSC_5198

This is Triangle Park right across the street from Victorian Square....across the street behind the rear fountain is Rupp Arena where the University of Kentucky Wildcats play basketball. Go Cats!

DSC_5197

This is a statue of someone that I should probably know but I forgot...A Confederate officer of some sort I believe.(CSA on the buckle) Taken on long exposure.

DSC_5247

Another gentleman that I should probably know but I don't....This shot I included here because it is so different from the one before this lighting wise. This was an even longer exposure and it brought in light from the shops across the street. Light is coming from everywhere. I shot this statue 1st and was my trial and error piece. Once I shortened up the exposure, it turned out like the man on the horse, but I think that is one is pretty cool looking. It looks as though he is asking why I am taking his photo....who is that idiot down there?

Great shots. The first and the third are my favorites. What a beautiful place to stroll at night.

Nice collection of photos. I love seeing where others live especially considering I could never see them all in person in my lifetime. I even find your street lights interesting. Ours don't have poles that go all the way across the street like that. Very interesting. The fountain and tree lights are beautiful also. I hate to admit, I can not help you with the statues (I like them though). I probably should know those as well. The first one makes me think of Night at the Museum and Robin Williams as Teddy Roosevelt. I am sure I am wrong, that's just who came to mind first. Looks like a General of some kind. Maybe someone here on DPS will give us a lesson.

You have captured the colours of your town at night so well in the first two Patrick and the second two are brilliant too. Great angle in the last one and maybe he is just saying. Look at this great photogapher lol.. Nice work as usual Patrick.

Jake.
