Default Susan1970 Challanged Me !!!

ok, so since I did not delete yesterdays photos from the camera .. I took another look at my swallow shots.

"You panned a few shots here that are stunning. Blow my socks off next time and get them closer.

(Hey, you're my instigator, I'll be yours.") Susan1970

for those viewing who missed my last post, these are Barn Swallows who were chasing flying skeeters at lighting fast banking turns and dives, quite amazing to see, a real challange to even get them in the VF .. but was blast to try.

I don't want to let her down .....

So here's a little better, in order to be fair this is sooc , just cropped, I'm leaving it as is ( the pale green grass is killing me lol )

IMG_4007

however some wanted to know how I shot them, so here's the Exif stuff.
Camera: Canon EOS Digital Rebel XSi
Exposure: 1/4000 sec
Aperture: f/4.0
Focal Length: 188 mm
ISO Speed: 1600
Exposure Bias: 0 EV
Flash: Off, Did not fire

1/4000 and 1600iso and 188mm in broad daylight , YES YOU CAN !

I hope I met the challange !

Vin

Great job, so that's what those birds look like. I can show you some streaks across the photo, you can use your imagination and visualize this capture instead of mine. It's working for me!

(((Bowing)))

See what a good challenge can do?

Vin, ya done did it! This is OUTSTANDING. I am so proud to be your friend and fellow photographer!

You seriously need to think of riding out here on the ferry so we can go shooting together. You can teach me a few things about wildlife photography, and maybe I can get my kids to model for you for a bit of portrait stuff.....but my main thing is I need to get you here to teach me what you know.

You killed me on this one!!!!!!!!!!

dude, thats impressive, panning at that speed is hard enough, let alone getting the bugger in FOCUS AND in a pleasing "pose"..
i know.. i've tried and failed..

very well done

+1 awesomeness to you.
