Default Art of another form.....

I truly believe that good photography is an art, but I also appreciate other arts as well.

I was down by the river not long ago, and they have incoporated a park at this river. They have an area that has an old steamwheeler that tours the river, an old railroad bridge turned into a walk across the river, and a discovery village for children.

There is also a car bridge that crosses the river right over the park.

At the steamwheeler area, this statue greets you on the way down the walkway. I love the expression on the face of this weary fisherman. The artist payed great detail to not only the face, but the whole statue.

The next one was in the childrens discovery village.

I have photos of the other things I spoke of, which also display different types of art, but I am only allowed to post 4 photos on here.

I imagine I can post others if someone would like to see them.

I so apologize for the lighting in these as it was a very grey day, and the lighting was all wrong.

Thanks for looking,

Laura

I agree with what you said. Photography is an art fort and can move in many directions. These statues are another form..you captured them beautifully and with great detail...very nice and nice comments to go with them.

Very Nice Post, The Statues are fantastic and you've done a good Job capturing them. I think the colors and the lighting work fine!
Thanks for Sharing these

Thank you and a few other forms of art I captured there.

Perfect examples of architectural/structural art.

Laura, these are absolutely wonderful. I love the statue and you captured it very nicely. Especially the fly fisher and his catch. Thanks for sharing them.

Thank you Micheal.
I had to do some editing in Gimp to even get it to where the white clouds in the background did not completely wash out the main subject.

Thank you Fred.
I really just stood and admired it for quite sometime, and when I was taking the pics, ROFL, I think some people thought there was something wrong with me, because I was going under, around, kneeling, and almost layed down in the grass to take the shots.

Got some strange looks, thats for sure!.
