Default Drum roll please.....my 1000th post, I made it!!!

Thought I would share some more shots of my kids and my niece and nephew from the park the other day. I was going to try to come up with something clever but in the end decided to stick with what I love most, my family! I hope you enjoy them. I am looking forward to learning so much more so I will be here for a while! Thank you all so much for all your kindness, encouragement, humor and wisdom!

My oldest Rachel~

My youngest Megan~

Jarett~ I wonder what he is thinking? Looks like something good to me!

Jarett in thought

Jesica~ Sweet 16! It is so hard to get this girl to smile sometimes so this one is special to me because it is a genuine giggle! I love it!

Cleverer than you thought Michelle, because you managed both

All your pictures are wonderful, and these are no exception, and thats clever.
Now for the family, Rachel looks stunning, and Megan loves the water, Jarett is thinking 'man stuff' and Jesica is stunning and what a smile. Hearts will be broken.

A wonderful selection to cellebrate your 1000 posts, well done

You are a good friend and have been very supportive and helpful to me and many others, on behalf of us all, thank you

Congrads on your 1k milestone Michelle !!

I've enjoyed watching your progress these last months, I love how you take risks and " go for it " .. I think of your flower shots.. but you'll pretty much shoot anything and have become quite skilled at getting really good captures... I am curious to see how you combine creativity and your excellent photos so I can steal your ideas !! :P

I've also enjoyed our friendship, it's interesting how you and I sometimes pick out the same element of a photo in our comments, and I always seem to " get " what your photos portray.. similar tastes and " Eye " I guess. Quite a few of those thousand posts are from some of my photos and I really appreciate and value the time you take to really look deep at my stuff and offer your input, it means alot.

Your contribution this time first off all quite good, there is a certain luminance to thier skin tones and although in excellent focus a softness I really like..you kinda used the proverbal " Park Bench* " trick by shooting your kids, but since they are all so good, it's ok this time !! They are wonderful and your shot great portraits, they owe you !! lol

" I am looking forward to learning so much more so I will be here for a while!"
well I hope so .. besides, when you know everything and are working freelance for Voque and Time Magazine... I hope you'll still come and say hi to us

grads again , outstanding 1k post !

Vin
(* parkbench is a ringer subject,99.9% people are gonna like a photo with a parkbench, which is almost as good as an old falling apart split rail and post fence, or the sleeping baby)

P.S. I almost choked on my lunch, I was thinking the same exact thing about Jarett.

She is a gorgeous young lady! I still remember watching her come into this world and now we get to watch her find her own future. Good thing her Dad is a prison guard, he can keep the boys a bit intimidated. Thank you very much Michael!

Well Vin, I think we surely do have similar taste. I always look forward to your threads and your posts. You are a true kind friend and I am a lucky girl to have found such wonderful people who share this same fun and rewarding passion.
You can steal away any ideas of mine you want to. I must admit most were not even my own. I have learned so much here on DPS.
I doubt I will ever be working for a magazine of any kind, you crack me up. I wouldn't want that kind of pressure, I want to keep it fun!
Thank you so much for taking the time to post such wonderful words! I really do look forward to continuing to get to know you and hanging out here on DPS!
