Default Day at the races

I have always been a big fan of motor racing, and yesterday was the first chance I got to take some photographs of an event. It was also the first opportunity I got to try some action photography so I think it came out quite nice in the end.

The only problem was I didn't have a lens that could zoom in enough so a lot of the images needed to be cropped quite a bit.

I have plenty more to come as I almost filled an 8gb memory card but it's going to take a while to sort through them all.

Two excellent panning shots Silverz, you did a great job with them. Great capture of the driver too, nice and sharp. The last one is excellent too, great freeze action with the champagne. This is great work Silverz and looks like a great day out.

Jake.

the first 2 are excellent shots and I wonder whether they would have come out as well if you had the longer lens

I was pretty impressed with the results myself as I have never tried this technique before, But for every 1 that came out clear there were 5 blurred ones to acompany it
