Default More mountains, cities, and skies...

Hi. Some of you may have seen the two panoramas of Baguio City I have recently posted (critique comparison section). I just want to share some more additional photos of the landscape and cityscape of Baguio. Bagiuo is a city located on the mountains and the view from some places are really fantastic. Thanks for viewing. Comments are welcome!

A view from a mall's balcony. Took several photos here so I was able to capture some sunset photos and post sunset photos.,

A very nice area to dine and spend time with your friends..

Here is a shot taken from Mines View, tried HDR but was not really satisfied with the result haha..

What a location, I have never heard of Baguio City and I suspect I never will again, but I'm glad I visited albeit briefly. Paul, this is wonderful series but the first two are outstanding.
great colour, tone, atmosphere, and all those other good adjectives that are associated with quality pictures, great job buddy

Hi Vet. I just did some levels adjustment to add more contrast and as far as I can remember I selected the sky only and did a multiply blend to strengthen the colors. But the colors are actually like that, just did a little boosting . Thank you for your comment!

Baguio is what they call the "summer capital of the PHilippines", for it is one of the few cold places here in the country. THere are a lot of local tourists but I think its not that popular among foreigners. Thank you so much Beach for those wonderful comment, especially it came from you ( I really like you photos by the way hehe).

What a spectacular view.

I like all the shots, but the first one gives me this wonderful illusion that the sun is not going down behind the mountain but that the sun is moving away from the earth (or coming closer to the earth). A bit hard to find the right words here... Anyway I like them all.

NOw that you mentioned it, actually you are quite right on that. The sun doesn't seem to set down but instead, it seems like it is moving in a forward-backward direction haha. Thanks Gaba for your comment!

Great shots , when you say you tried HDR did you do the full 3 shot thing , cause if you did you might want to try tonemapping a single shot ..................just a thought, fantastic images either way .

Nice pictures Paul! It has been years since I visited Baguio. There is no mall yet during that time

Thank you Bradzo. I tried 3 images for the HDR. HDR works well for me for interior shots but not for outdoor shots like this. Looks grainy for me. I haven't heard of tonemapping a single image. Maybe I will try that someday. Thank you for the tip!
