Default I have a question for you....

Yes? What is your name please? Hmmmmmmm..... that's a hard one... POIT! (I know it's sounds weird but, I'm a Pinky and the Brain fan.) I posted this image yesterday but, I worked on it in a different way. No HDR just picked the best of the the set I had. What do you all think, framed or no? Don't worry, it's not a test. Just curious what everybody thinks is all. This is much better in full resolution too. Thanks for looking and any comments.

Fred - lovely image. The dew drops on the rose are georgeous. Just like Jake (he posted a very red rose on Flickr not so long ago) you've got the exposure spot on here. Personally I prefer the version without the frame (after all, this is worthy of a real frame so that you can hang it on your wall).

Cheers,
Martin.

Ok, so here goes nothing.
I personally like the framed version.
Having said that I should probably mention that this particular one would not be my frame of choice. There is too much complexity on it, which draws the attention from the focus of the shot to the periphery.
Don't get me wrong it is a nice frame, maybe too nice.
You know, sometimes when somethis is good: is good! but if it is "too good" then it not good at all.

All best!

Great looking rose you have there. I think I lean toward the non-frame version. I like the softness and composition. Thanks for sharing.

Fred, everything you do is beautiful, framed or not....but on these, I would have to also say unframed, but couldn't tell you why.

This photo is stunning Fred...absolutely magnificant with the droplet detail. I think i like it unframed too. What about a plain black frame or dark brown to match the background more?

Default A different plainer frame?

Thanks everyone for the well thought out replies so far. I really appreciate it. Maybe this would work better?

Now, this one is a keeper.
With your permission I'd like to add that to my collection of NIH (not invented here/not taken by me) pictures.
Thanks!
