Default Way too young

I took this at a Civil War re-inactment. As I understand history, it was not unusual for young boys this age to be soldiers...

I love the feel of this with the pp treatment you have given it.

Amazing how times have changed. Even now, I think we send them before they have really had a chance to grow up.

Having read quite a bit on the Civil war; I was horrified to find that more people died from disease and infection than from actual battle damage, almost double.
This is a great B & W

Very nice PP you applied on this photo. I feel that I am seeing an originial photograph taken decades ago. Thanks for sharing!

I have to agree with everything Ftboah says, my son is sixteen and just signed up for the army as soon as he finishes at college, but I can't help but support him for his career choice. Great thought provoking capture Sheriliz. Nice work.

Jake.

They knew so very little about even the most basic sanitizing procedures. Thanks for looking.

Great photo. A few wrinkles and blemishes and it could pass as a real war photo. The look on his face is perfect. Although he is probably wondering where he left his iPod instead of the upcoming battle.

Excellent image. I like the way you've composed this. He's getting guidance and instruction from the older vets. Very good choice with the PP, too.
