Poppies, mosquitoes, and a pesky fly

Glad i was able to get out and shoot on a nice day, those poppies just blew me away...absolutely gorgeous...i tried to capture their beauty...

ummmmm perhaps a stupid question but, in poppy seed muffins, is the black part of the flower, what the poppy seeds in the muffins are? I never really though about it before I saw your pics. hmmmmm now I want a muffin!!LOL

The seeds of the poppy that go into your muffin come from the pod left behind after the petals fall off. the hips are harvested and dried. Im not sure how they are processed from there. Enjoy your muffin.

Beautiful shots. Crisp and clear. The ruffles of the poppy in the second shot look like folded crepe paper! Well done.

thanks fstopMike...i did nothing to the shots other than crop...I never get tired of flower shots, they just make my day..
