Default Stop Thief !

Caught this guy trying to steal from my bird feeder! So much for the idea of a "squirrel proof" bird feeder! Time to let the dog spend more time outside!

Stop Thief!

Good catch, he's gonna get to it some how and yes you really should do something about all those birds eating the squirrels food. I'm thinking cat instead of dog.

Thanks! I've been lucky to go to some cool places & catch nature just bein' herself

As far as the cat goes, I'd love one, but the whole family is allergic -- darn!

Nice capture. I think we have more squirrels in No. TX than people.

Great shot John ! ..if only he could hold on with his tail like a monkey !!

It's great to see you post here in SyS .. anyone who's posted in the Critque my shot sections of the forum knows you as very helpful, outgoing and honest, with a body of work that speaks for itself..I for one am a fan of your Nature shots , Probably one of the best Bald Eagle headshots I've seen.. as well as countless others.

But we're here to talk about the squirrel and the feeder !! I doubt he hung around for more then a few seconds after you shot him .. really nice timing and kinda funny !

thanks for showing it .. share your shots more !! love your stuff !

Vin

Vinam,
Many many thanks for your kind words! I really appreciate them.

This lil' guy was very bold and gave me a look of "What's your problem, man?" I had to walk up to the feeder to actually intimidate him!

I'm looking forward to a summer of shooting as I am leaving on Friday for two weeks at Pawley's Island, SC where I hope to really break in my new Canon EOS 50D. After that I head to New Zealand where I'll spend 1 week working and 2 weeks on a photo tour of the South Island. I hope to be VERY busy sharing after that ! Thanks again & have a great weekend !

This one made me laugh. With him looking at the camera you'd almost think he knew he had been caught.

great capture .. they are so cunning, he's doing the math on how much more he can nab before you have any chance of getting near
