Default Reverse Lens Macro

Lens: 50mm f/1.8 | Aperture: f/8 | Shutter: 1/80 sec | ISO: 500

I read the post about the Reverse Adapter Ring and decided to purchase one for my D300. I mounted it to my 50mm f/1.8 lens and came away with the image above. I've posted a few more images along with some info over on my blog: The Poor Man's Macro.

Great job with that one. I have only touched on this technique. I bought the adapter for the reverse and the double lens reverse, but havnt used them too much. It frustrated me so I ended up buying a nikkor 105 micro

I've been wanting to get a macro lens so when I saw the article I jumped on the chance to spend only $20 and get some great macro shots. Eventually I'll get an actual macro lens (or micro lens), but for now this works well. Couple of caveats with the lack of autofocus and not as much control over the aperture, but I've been happy with the results.

Thanks!

Wow, what more can one say. Fantastic. I love the way the colours just jump out at you. Thanks for sharing.
