Default Lake Pontchartrain HDR

The lake and the Causeway (worlds longest bridge)

Went out yesterday because people wanted me to attempt another HDR. I went to the place where I attempted my first HDR and got a lot better results. I took 4 sets, but my tripod moved during 3 of them. I really need to get a new tripod.

Here's the one set that survived.

Thanks for looking.

Wow, that's really effective, love those clouds.

This photo could not be more beautifully composed. It reads like a novel. Action, denoument and a quiet end. I'd read that one again anytime.

Nice use of HDR! The dense gray clouds gives a nice look to the sunset. Well done.

Thank you. I could do more with the clouds, but it would come off too fake

Thanks. I'm glad you liked it. I don't think I could do it again if I tried.

Thank you.

I'm going to try and mess with the other pictures I took to see if I can't get them to come out. I had one of the pictures come out with two suns, which looked really cool, like I was on another planet or something.

more to come when I get a new tripod.

Well done, and realistic looking.

I grew up in Covington, so I'm really familiar with the 24-mile long causeway. So many trips over that thing . . . .

Thanks for posting.

That's absolutely amazing. Great colors, great composition, great crop. Nicely done.
