Default travels today

I went on another fishing jaunt with my son today. The pond we ended up at was really pretty. Here are a couple

pond 2

pond 1

When he was done there we went by this gorgeous pasture. This little donkey was just wandering around in a manner that looked pretty aimless to me. She was cute though.

A hawk began flying over and around us (no I didn't get a single dang shot of him to come out) then I looked over and I swear someone yelled "everyone look at the chick with the camera"

It really is very peaceful and yes it is very close. About a mile or so away from our house, we found this spot the other night while we were out on our bike ride.

teedlepeep, beautiful photos. the second pond photo is fantastic. A wondering aimlessly, and what appears to be a pregnant donkey, makes me wonder is she was looking for a place to give birth. The Hereford cows and calves for an ex-cattleman just gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling. Thank you for this photo.

You live in one of the prettiest towns I've ever been in....I've driven through it more times than I can count...I have always loved it there. These are parts I haven't seen and they're lovely....I guess those aren't the Happy Cows from California...lol

So you went on a "jaunt with your son"? Your ability to show him his world through a photographs eyes is quite a gift and is something I'm sure you give easily but is not widely enjoyed by most boys. He's a fortunate boy! Lakes and pastures, donkey and cattle. You had quite the day. Thanks for taking us along, as well.
