Every morning I am awaken to the racket this hungry little fellow makes. So, I grabbed my 70-200mm and went searching among the limbs of the Douglas fir. Here he is all puffed up and trying to look big and dangerous. For the past 12 years we've been feeding generation after generation of a family of crows, squirrels and Blue Jays. It's fun watching them grow up and have babies of their own.

He looks like an angry little cuss. We feed the birds here too. I especially like the hawks that raise their young. I would love to capture them when they swoop down and grab a snake. I just haven't been that lucky . . . . yet! Nice shot, thanks for sharing.

Jim, I took a few shots of some little sparrow on my fence and in my yard tonight...and decided NOT to post them because they were a bit soft. Now I'm so glad I didn't, because this shot kicks my butt to the curb.
Gorgeous.

Thanks for the comments. His parents were on a few branches up watching me, they knew I wasn't going to hurt him. They are used to having their pictures taken.
