Default feathered friend

While on bird watching assignment at a wildlife reserve in Skagit County I managed to capture this song sparrow, who was following me around while I was taking pictures of other birds.

I shot this with my 400mm f2.8 with a 1.4 extender.

Awesome shot. Very clear, looks like that extender is doing a fine job.

Very Nice Capture Jim, Nicely composed and presented. I just bought a Canon 500mm f/4.0 I'll receive it next tuesday; I can hardly wait to try it for Birding.
Thanks for Sharing this
Chewys Dad.

The sparrow is a bird so common, I think I've forgotten how to see them. I looked at this photo, blinked and reformed immediately. Memo to self: looks at sparrows!

Is that your new photo assistant? I'm sure he could help you with the bird's eye views! I can easily see your shot in a book or an encyclopedia.

Another nice shot, jim. I like the way you isolated her on the end of the rose bush.
I'm in total envy of your list of 'L' glass!!!

He was following you because he wanted to pose for the (in)famous Jim Bryant, LOL! Great photo, love his expression.
