Great start! I have been working for a month now on macro and have improved so much since I started using a tiny bit of fill flash (set my flash on the lowest settings) and learned to use my tripod.

I am hoping the same thing for myself! LOL

I am a total newbie when it comes to photography but I have learned and am learning so much from this board!!! I love it

The more macro you go, the more camera shake becomes an issue for getting that super clear shot.... I have practiced with the same subject going both handheld and tripod and WOW what a difference it makes. I also have started using the flash on the lowest possible setting (just my built in flash) it helps take out the shadows.

Your photos are great! Don't sweat it in the least. I just saw these were your first attempt and wanted to share what I have learned the past month on macro.... from one newbie to another LOL
